Live, Learn, Laugh

Here are a few things that have been learned since being married.
Carlos has learned :
- you are supposed to rub your head when you shampoo!
- if you go to a salon (or Lulu's) they actually wash your hair for you before they cut it !
- babies need to be fed during the night (learned while babysitting with cleah. no, we are not pregnant)
- sometimes girls just need chocolate
- sometimes girls just need to be angry
- he is often wrong. even when he is right

Cleah has learned :
- if you don't clean up, no one will
- boys smell
- adult boys are a lot like teenage cleah. they just dont notice the mess
- cooking is time consuming and difficult
- regular sized cookie sheets dont fit in apartment sized ovens
- i talk (and hit) in my sleep
- boys are not always warmer than girls
- mothers deserve more credit
- laundry takes time and, if you dont fold it as soon as you get it done, you never will
- vacuum often
- boys can not read your mind.
- boys can not understand what you are asking for the first time. or the second time. or the 7th time
- boys can not listen, think and talk at the same time
- being married is fun
- being married is hard work
- being single is much easier. but less rewarding.

"i just fell in love, that's all"

here's a quick catch up of what we've been up to in the last few weeks.

Carlos and I made butter chicken. Delish.
We went to the train tracks to take pictures but it was short lived because of all of the mosquitoes. little buggers.
good ol' TOMS picture

you make me wanna say I DO

i got married ! to carlos. you may call me Cleah Molina from now on. it was a rainy day but it stopped for us to take pictures, it was pretty muddy though.  we had fun at the reception; it was so busy we didn't even get to our first dance (which was fine by me) we stood in the receiving line the whole 2 hours, there was just a steady flow of people.  everyone was very supportive. the city even held an Underwear Race outside of the reception house. it was pretty sweet.

we left for victoria the next day and it was beautiful ! we ate the "big muckle" at the white heather tea room and went whale watching. stopped by The Butchart Gardens and the...fishermans dock? i think it's called is beautiful ! so many little colorful houseboats. it would be amazing to live there. my hair was so soft and i didnt us moisturizer the whole time i was there ! bliss.

married life is awesome. its cool to learn how our personalities match up or where we need to work on things. i like waking up with carlos every morning. i think thats my favourite part of being married. the other day there was a bad storm outside so we built a fort and watched jersey shore.  i highly recommend marriage. once you find the right guy and all. its a good time.

AND I MADE DINNER ! TWICE ! i'm so domestic right now, there's no stopping me.

sorry for the random post, i'm exhausted.

Slow Down, You Move Too Fast

tonight carlos and i hung out with my crowd, something i dont think we've ever done together. and it was amazing. i dont think he had too much fun but i loved it. we talked about the past, caught up on the present and told of our future plans. and it hit me... we're growing up. it was the last time we'll all be together for at least 3 years. boys are going on missions and to the olympics, girls are getting married, going to school and moving away. people are leaving for summer jobs and holidays and everyone is changing. high school is long gone and things will never be the same. its an exhilarating feeling. but its also scary.

no more photo shoots and virgin shots. no more late night drives with ashley, windows down and music blaring. no more sleepovers and pillow fights. no more youth dances or silly girl talk about that boy that looked at us. no more house or gossip girl marathons or midnight meet ups. at least not for a while. not how it's always been.

everything's changing.

but change is good.

right ?

Jen Bunny, You found a keeper!!

drum roll please,
Back, by popular demand !!!!!!! (maija)

itssssssss meeeeeeeeeeeeeee

sorry for not posting in a million years, i've been too busy FALLING IN LOVE.

I met a boy. His name is Carlos. He is tall, dark and handsome. HA. But actually.  He is a returned missionary, he likes to rap and...thats all.

just kidding. he's originally from Guatemala, thats right ladies, he considers himself a "latin lover".  he lived in London (ontario) and moved to Edmonton a few years ago. he speaks Spanish fluently and loves to dance. he plays basketball and soccer (he's better at soccer) and he's an artist. he loves a good pair of white shoes and recently purchased his first pair of TOMS. he likes long walks on the beach and starry nights. he also likes big butts and he cannot lie. he makes me chuckle frequently. we have dumb inside jokes and we like being around each other. all the corny stuff i never believed in.

we have so much in common. we both like soup and the outdoors. and talking and not talking. we could talk or not talk for hours and still find things to not talk about. (little mighty wind shout out)

WELL. we went to UT for conference this week and he asked me to marry him on Temple Square on Friday night. and i said yes.

Crazy right ? I'm engaged ? I have a fiance ? I have to plan a wedding ? I HAVE TO LIVE WITH A BOY ?

.i can't wait.

i hope no one minds finding out about this through my blog... i have no phone with me so i can't call everyone. plus i'm terribly awkward on el telefono (that means, the telephone)
