Do You See What I See ?

My journey to work every morning is so lovely.

I can't help but smile as I sit on the bus. There are 7 people ... 5 of them are asian, 1 is white and 1 is me. tee hee. They're taking over Edmonton ! I get to Southgate and step into the brisk winter air.  The mall is open but all of the stores are closed.  Cute old people are doing their morning exercises / walking throughout the mall and they make me so happy. The old couples are the cutest ! All of the store display windows are beautifully (or tackily) decorated for Christmas, I love the Christmas Spirit.  Then I get to the dancing asians.  A group of older asian ladies that dance in an open space at the mall. So adorable.  Back outside where I encounter many cold people. We exchange understanding smiles.  The frost covering the branches of the bare trees is so beautiful, even my frozen breath in the air makes it impossible for me to be anything but happy.  Even in the cold, frozen winter Heavenly Father gives us so many things to be grateful for.  So many things for our enjoyment. And then I'm at work where I'm greeted by 10 smiling, dirty little faces (and the kids) <----- just a little joke there, for your enjoyment.  What a good start to every day.

life is good.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

I have not been looking forward to snow.  Snow means winter is beginning and we all know it takes a long time for winter to be finished.  I am usually freakishly cold from our first snow until summer begins and I was enjoying being warm. BUT I woke up this morning and saw snow and I did not start crying, as I had expected.  Working with little kids makes the snow so much better.  We took them out this morning to play in the snow and it made me so happy! It was probably the first time they've ever played in snow and they were hilarious.  Some of them hated it , some loved it and some were impartial.  It just made everything about the cold seem okay

Just a Stranger on a Bus

So many good memories from this fall !

The other day  I was on the bus going to work.  I had my headphones in and the older lady in front of me turned around and started talking to me.  I paused my music and quickly pulled out my headphones so I could talk to her.  She was the nicest lady in the world !  We talked about how lovely the weather is, her doctor, the beautiful leaves.  Then she told me she didn't want to keep me from my music and she thought I was such a nice young lady for taking the time to talk to her.  WHY WOULDN'T I ? She was the cutest.  We passed a few more bus stops and the bus filled with students going to Ainlay.  After they all got off she turned to me again, again I paused the music and she exclaimed, "Didn't that boy have the most amazing hair! That's not even fair, I have to get my hair permed every two weeks and he's a boy, and he's just born that way."  I agreed, it was nice and curly. We chatted again for a while till we got to the mall. She wished me a good day and I to her.

Work was insane that day.  The new babies were screaming all morning, I had a headache and had to clean and mop the floor.  I thought I was gonna die, until I thought of the wonderful woman I had met that morning.  Every time things got too crazy to handle, I couldn't help but smile thinking of that lovely lady. Why don't I talk to more people on the bus ? Fear I guess.

sigh, what a nice lady.

(i cant think of a good transition sentence here so im just gonna move on)
The most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time happened the other day.  The weather we have been blessed with is amazing.  The other day I was at the park with some of my kids :)  The wind was gently blowing yellow leaves off of the trees and I was helping the children blow bubbles.  They were so happy, so innocent, so easily amazed. I stopped for a moment to take it all in. The bubbles, the leaves, the blue sky, the fresh air, the warm breeze, those amazing young spirits just enjoying life.

One thing that was talked about in General Conference was that despite the difficulties in the world right now, we are so blessed to be living in the time we are in. I really feel that way lately.

There are so many beautiful, amazing things all around us.

As many of you know, I'm really gettin up there.  As my wise Grandma often says, "time flies on wings of lightning, you cannot call it back".  SO I've been constructing a bucket list and I decided to post it. Hopefully those of you reading will be able to give me more good ideas or have ideas about how/where I can get these things done. IM SO EXCITED. I really hope I get to do everything on this list.

- Learn ASL (currently working on)
- Go back to Japan
- Go on a service mission
- Learn how to milk a cow
- Learn how to play guitar
- Learn how to snow board
- Google town's in Canada and drive to the first one listed
- Walk through a Drive-Thru

That's all I have right now, I'm sure I'll be adding to this.

Glasses

I have CONJUNCTIVITIS !!!

(horror movie scream)

You heard me, I have pink eye.  FIRST OF ALL ( there is no second of all ). Contrary to popular belief, I did not get this from getting poop in my eye.  So BITE ME.

After doing some research, I believe I have Viral Conjunctivitis. That means it probably came from this stupid cold I can't shake.

Having pink eye sucks for me because it means I can't work and I have to wear my glasses :(  I got it last week and immediately went to my Dr. He gave me some eye drops, after barely looking at my eye, and sent me on my way. I used them but got really tired of wearing my glasses and stopped too soon. My eye's were fine all weekend !!!! But, of course, this morning when I woke up I could barely see. Now I have it in both eyes. ( they just look a little pink ) My employer told me to stay home and I'm going back to the Dr today. Which is great cuz I really love wasting my time in Dr's offices.  Especially when they look at me like I'm retarded and say, " It's not really that bad, just take this and see me if it gets worse . " I'd also like to mention that I've been to the doctor ...  twice ? in the past... 3 ? years. So it's not like i get told I'm a retard very often.

hmm. Felt kind of defensive there.

Basically the main message of this blog is that I hate wearing my glasses and I didn't get poop in my eye !!!

Six Teets and No Oink

OH EM GLEE

Yes, I am currently watching Glee and I can not explain how this show makes me feel. I almost puked. In a good way.

Seriously, beautiful people (Artie) and amazing music ! This show is everything I love. I don't know what else to say. I can't wait to download this music. If you haven't seen Glee yet, I dare you to watch it.

As I jumped around the room screaming and clapping I realized what a good life I have. I honestly can't put into words what I'm trying to say so I'll stop trying. But yeah, major love.

Also, she's a filipino and she's shorter than me. I didn't know that was possible.

i love artie, finn's dancing, schue's rapping and sue's track suit.

VERDICT. (caution, spoilers)

I've watched the episode a couple of times now and I decided its still amazing. I've also listened to the songs a lot.  I loved all of them. I'm not in love with the blonde boy, I love his song and I think he's cool but my heart still belongs to Artie. I also heard he might end up as Kurt's boyfriend ? could work. The new girl is hilarious. I have a feeling the boy will return...not too sure about the short filipino. But I think it's cool that she's a random David Foster find. She definitely has some pipes and is a threat to Rachel.
My favorite songs to watch had to be Empire State of Mind and Telephone.  But, since I've downloaded a couple of them I've realized Billionaire is my favorite to listen to. And drive to.
I also love how self aware this show is. I listened to a couple of Glee podcasts ( i know, im a loser ) and they were worried about the two asians hooking up (racist) and schue's rapping being horrible ( i happen to love it ) and Finn's awkward dancing but these things are always addressed !! I love it. It makes me chuckle.

Hello,
my name is Cleah  and I am addicted to Glee.

snot

alrighty so.

Today was deceivingly cold.  The sun was shining but it was freezing.  We took the kids outside to play at the park and everyone had runny noses.  My main man was riding his motorcycle around the park when it happened.

aaaaaa.....aaaaaaa.......ACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It echoed through the entire school yard.  I stood, in horror, as snot shot from his face. I have never seen snot like that.  It was a magical moment.  And then, it hit me. i'm the one that has to clean this boy up !  I was momentarily paralyzed but then all of my training kicked in and I professionally ran around the playground looking for and screaming, WE NEED TOILET PAPER. The lady that usually carries it was taking the garbage out and I was left searching.  The other young girl working with me called out that she had found it and took care of the situation.  I calmly walked back and watched as she used a bucket and shovel to clean up the poor boys face. I knelt down and told him that I have a new found respect for him.  That his tiny head could hold that much snot, WOW.  This boy talks like Ross Geller and calmly told me. "The       tissue       was            righT   There"

and that, ladies and gentlemen, was the highlight of my day.

dear blogging world,

HA !  Say what ? Cleah got a blog ?
I resisted as long as I could but decided I want to be able to read my friends blogs, thus requiring me to have my own.  *sigh*

My life is currently rather snazzy.  I got a job at a daycare and I love it ! I just love my kids so much its embarrassing, I talk about them constantly.

wow. I'm not so good at this blogging thing ! I don't know what you people want to read about....
This weekend was much better than I had anticipated. It was Welcome Week for YSA which was odd since my friends and I don't actually attend a singles ward. Oh well, like I said, it was better than anticipated. The glee performances were awkward and the MC's were worse but the dance was fun and the after party was better.  Stake Conference was pretty good and the CES broadcast was amazing !  It was about marriage, admittedly NOT one of my favorite topics, but it was awesome.  I learned a lot about things I should do to prepare myself for marriage, things I should look for in a spouse and why we're encouraged to get married SO DANG YOUNG. All in all it was a good time.
