Just a Stranger on a Bus

So many good memories from this fall !

The other day  I was on the bus going to work.  I had my headphones in and the older lady in front of me turned around and started talking to me.  I paused my music and quickly pulled out my headphones so I could talk to her.  She was the nicest lady in the world !  We talked about how lovely the weather is, her doctor, the beautiful leaves.  Then she told me she didn't want to keep me from my music and she thought I was such a nice young lady for taking the time to talk to her.  WHY WOULDN'T I ? She was the cutest.  We passed a few more bus stops and the bus filled with students going to Ainlay.  After they all got off she turned to me again, again I paused the music and she exclaimed, "Didn't that boy have the most amazing hair! That's not even fair, I have to get my hair permed every two weeks and he's a boy, and he's just born that way."  I agreed, it was nice and curly. We chatted again for a while till we got to the mall. She wished me a good day and I to her.

Work was insane that day.  The new babies were screaming all morning, I had a headache and had to clean and mop the floor.  I thought I was gonna die, until I thought of the wonderful woman I had met that morning.  Every time things got too crazy to handle, I couldn't help but smile thinking of that lovely lady. Why don't I talk to more people on the bus ? Fear I guess.

sigh, what a nice lady.

(i cant think of a good transition sentence here so im just gonna move on)
The most beautiful thing I have seen in a long time happened the other day.  The weather we have been blessed with is amazing.  The other day I was at the park with some of my kids :)  The wind was gently blowing yellow leaves off of the trees and I was helping the children blow bubbles.  They were so happy, so innocent, so easily amazed. I stopped for a moment to take it all in. The bubbles, the leaves, the blue sky, the fresh air, the warm breeze, those amazing young spirits just enjoying life.

One thing that was talked about in General Conference was that despite the difficulties in the world right now, we are so blessed to be living in the time we are in. I really feel that way lately.

There are so many beautiful, amazing things all around us.
